At Navadarshanam, we have opted for Tata Indicom’s 10-digit Walky phones, as these phones give much better connectivity in a rural area like Nd where signals come from multiple towers (in our case, the Electronics City as well as Anekal towers). Even though these 10-digit numbers sound as though they are mobile phones, they are actually the ‘fixed wireless phones’, which can be transported from place to place, but are rarely done so because of their bulk. Our residents also have individual mobile phones which have similar 10-digit numbers, and to distinguish them we have mentioned in brackets that they are mobile phones.

Route to Navadarshanam
From Bangalore come to a nearby small town called Anekal, which is well connected by bus from the Bangalore City and Market Bus Stands. Recently, Volvo bus service has commenced between City Bus Station and Anekal. From Anekal one could either take an auto (Rs.200 or so) or take a bus or tempo to a village called Gumalapuram, just across the border into TN. From Gumalapuram village, Navadarshanam is two km by a small road that goes through the hamlet of Ganganahally. Click here to download a pdf file of the map.
